The Fear of Public Speaking
I was afraid of public speaking. I was asked to give a 5-minute welcome to the family speech at my Nephews wedding, 20 years ago, I was sick for a week before; wondering how I was going to get through it. I didn't sleep the night before the wedding, I was so worried about having to stand in front of all those people. My stomach was churning, my palms were sweaty, I was a mess. I gave the speech, but it was a blur of just getting through it. I worked through those fears of public speaking using Tapping and was able to give quite a long speech at my daughter's wedding with no issues and I have done many presentations in front of groups about my Emotional Wellness business.
I have helped many women with their fears around presenting their businesses and their gifts in front of others. I recall one woman who was so afraid to share in front of a group; I offered to do a few minutes of tapping with her in another room before it was her time to present. It only took 10 minutes for her to lose that nervousness and she was so excited to take the stage and talk with the audience about her business.
How often do we stop ourselves from sharing the unique gifts that we have, with others because we are afraid to speak? These people that are listening to you have come to learn from you because they do not possess the gifts that you have.
How often do we shy away from making toasts or expressing our heartfelt emotions at family gatherings because we are too afraid?
With tapping and coaching, we can let go of our fears and confidently express whatever , whenever and wherever we feel we would like to express.
I would love to work through any fear of public speaking with you. You can book a session here.
