What are your body aches and pains telling you?

Sometimes if we have lived with chronic emotional stress, from trauma or other upsetting events and experiences, for a long time. That emotional stress builds up in our bodies and eventually begins to show up as physical ailments.

I often use this book with my clients when they have physical ailments and the emotional descriptions are often what lies at the root of the pain.

Check out this short list yourself, and see if you can relate to any of the needs, or the emotion/emotions that correspond. 

Body aches could be a longing for love, a longing to be held.

Issues with the ankles could be inflexibility and guilt.

Arthritis in your joints could be about criticism or resentment.

Back problems could be lack of financial support, Guilt, or lack of emotional support.

Constipation could be that you are stuck in the past.

Foot problems could be a fear of the future and stepping forward in your life

Gout could be the need to dominate, impatience and anger.

Heartburn is often fear

Jaw problems could be anger, resentment, a desire for revenge

Problems with the knees - is often stubborn ego and pride, inability to bend, fear and inflexibility.

Menopause Problems - often a fear of no longer being wanted, fear of aging, not good enough.

Nervousness -  is most often not trusting the process of life.

Pink Eye - Anger and frustration, not wanting to see.

Pneumonia - Desperate. Tired of life. Emotional wounds that are not allowed to heal.

Round Shoulders - carrying the burdens of life. Helpless and hopeless.

Sinus Problems are sometimes irritation to one person, someone close.

Slipped Disc - Feeling totally unsupported by life. Indecisive.

Stiff Neck - Unbending bullheadedness.

Ulcers - are usually underlying fear. A strong belief that you are not good enough. What is eating away at you?

Then let’s do some tapping to ease the pain, by releasing the emotional attachments to the pain.
